XHTML
The code returned to the visitors web browser is written in XHTML. XHTML is the latest standard in web page coding.

ASP
The components of the site - web pages, products, databases are built using the server side scripting lanaguage - Active Server Pages (ASP)

Database
The site is database driven - all products information and general page content is stored in a backedn database. The relevant information is extracted from the database and displayed on the web pages where appropriate. The site uses an MS SQL Server database.

Paypal IPN and Nochex APC
Paypal IPN and NoChex APC are integrated within the site - Paypal and Nochex are used to securely process the orders taken on the website with regard to credit/debit card details. Once Paypal or Nochex has approved the transaction, Staff are automatically notified that the transaction was succesful and also the details of the ordered goods.

CMS
A Content Management System (CMS) is in place to allow non-technical staff to update the website content without web coding knowledge.
